What is a plane-first agent workspace?

In ALSTEAD's pitch, plane-first means the offer is the hosted workspace. That workspace is a control plane plus memory and connectors. Sandbox and cloud computer time aren't available in this alpha, and agents messaging on your behalf over iMessage is listed as coming soon. An owner runs AI agents in a bounded loop there. Customers bring their own AI keys. ALSTEAD is for builders running coding agents who want that bounded hosted workspace.

The phrase is a pitch for that shape. It is not a rule about every agent product, and it is not a claim that the agent is disposable or that any runtime can attach.

What each part names

The control plane is the workspace side the owner runs. Sandboxes and cloud computers are the two planned places for agent work to run. The planned Pro plan adds them once they're verified, and they aren't available in this alpha. Memory and connectors are named in the same sentence. This page does not inventory connectors or set a memory cap. No such list is in the allowed facts.

Agents messaging on your behalf over SMS, iMessage, WhatsApp, Discord, or Slack is listed on the home page as coming soon. This page does not describe how it will work.

"Bounded loop" is the product's own wording for how the owner runs agents. This page does not add a step count, a tool allowlist, or a session clock. The only numeric bound in the allowed facts is on the sandboxes page: the planned Pro plan lists 10 sandbox hours and 5 cloud computer hours per month, no rollover, once they're verified. None of that time is available in this alpha.

What not to add when quoting this

Plane-first does not mean ALSTEAD speaks a particular protocol, works with every agent, or replaces the model provider. Model calls use keys the customer brings. The provider bills that use. The planned subscription, which is not on sale yet, is not an estimate of model spend, and this page will not add the two together.

Bezalel (bezalel.sh) describes its own product as a plane. That is competitor context, fetched as a public site, not as a specification for ALSTEAD. Shared vocabulary is not shared scope. Price figures, dated, are on the plan-context page. They are not a ranking.

The pitch is plane-first for that workspace shape. It is not a slogan, a protocol claim, or a win claim.
